Hoaloha Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting foster youth across Hawaiʻi by providing care packages and creative, community-based programs that nurture their well-being.

Position Overview
We are seeking a flexible and dependable Project Assistant to support our programs on a part-time, temporary contract basis. This hybrid role includes both in-person and remote work, with responsibilities that vary week-to-week depending on program needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support advocacy efforts through outreach and occasional meetings with community partners
• Support weekly program needs, including assembling and delivering care packages
• Assist with outreach and social media to help grow community awareness
• Help coordinate volunteers and support program activities and events
• Assist with fundraising efforts and community engagement

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Passion for community work, advocacy, and supporting youth
• Comfortable with flexible, changing weekly tasks
• Must reside in Hawaiʻi; reliable transportation preferred for in-person activities
• Comfortable using Canva and Google Drive
• Interest in social media platforms (Instagram, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with nonprofit or community-based work
• Experience with event support or volunteer coordination
• Basic content creation skills (photo/video, captions, etc.)

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
