Project Assistant Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in customer visits, technical discussions, video calls and meetings
• Support project planning, scheduling and monitoring of project progress, quality, cost and timelines
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments on project progress, technical matters and product quality
• Support new project and product design changes
• Coordinate product trial and proofing activities with Engineering, Quality and Production teams
• Follow up on mold fabrication, modification and related project activities
• Assist in investigating and improving major product or process quality issues
• Support Production in improving operational efficiency and reducing production waste
• Maintain product BOM, PRT, product versions and material master data
• Coordinate daily sample registration and submission to PMC
• Maintain records related to mold processing and modification activities
• Support project documentation, reporting and project closing activities
• Assist with departmental purchasing and other administrative matters when required
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, project management, NPI, tooling, mold or a related manufacturing environment (Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply)
• Good understanding of plastic injection mold structures and tooling processes
• Knowledge of mold design, mold modification or mold simulation will be an added advantage
• Experience in project coordination and working with cross-functional teams
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in communicating with customers and suppliers
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CAD software is an added advantage
• Practical, hardworking, responsible and willing to learn
• Able to work effectively in both office and workshop environments
