A. Lab Management Practical Work

Manage day-to-day operations of the 5G COE lab (equipment readiness, setup, shutdown).

Install, configure, and maintain 5G lab equipment, routers, SDRs, and test tools.

Assist in conducting practical sessions, demos, and lab experiments for students.

Ensure proper functioning of network connectivity, simulation tools, and software platforms.

Maintain lab inventory, including hardware, cables, and accessories.

Troubleshoot technical issues during lab sessions and provide quick resolutions.

Support Wireshark, protocol testing, and network analysis activities.

Prepare and update lab manuals, SOPs, and experiment documentation.

B. Teaching Academic Support (Marine Program)

Assist in delivering 5G & Satellite Communication modules for Marine students.

Support faculty in preparing lecture content, presentations, and practical assignments.

Conduct basic training sessions / tutorials for students (under guidance).

Help students with projects, mini-projects, and hands-on implementation.

Stay updated with latest trends in 5G, satellite communication, and telecom technologies.

Contribute to curriculum development and course improvement for the new program.

C. Administrative & Coordination Work

Coordinate with vendors and partners for equipment procurement, installation, and AMC.

Maintain lab usage records, attendance, and reporting documentation.

Support in organizing workshops, FDPs, guest lectures, and training sessions.

Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and proposals for management or collaborations.

Ensure compliance with lab safety, usage policies, and audit requirements.

D. COE Development & Growth

Support new initiatives related to 5G COE expansion, certifications, and industry collaborations.

Assist in pilot projects, testing activities, and research-based assignments.

Contribute to student skill development programs and placement readiness activities.

1. Ensure the 5G lab is always ready for use, with all systems and equipment functioning properly.

2. Support smooth execution of practical sessions without interruptions or delays.

3. Take ownership of lab setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.

4. Assist faculty in delivering sessions for the 5G and satellite communication program.

5. Help students during practicals and guide them in completing assignments and projects.

6. Contribute to the successful rollout and day-to-day running of the new Marine program.

7. Maintain proper records of lab usage, attendance, and equipment.

8. Support organizing workshops, training sessions, and guest lectures.

9. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for any technical or operational requirements.

10. Take initiative in improving lab usage, student engagement, and overall COE activities.

Brief KPI (Key Performance Indicators)

1. Lab is ready and functional for at least 95% of scheduled sessions.

2. Practical sessions run smoothly with minimal technical issues.

3. Most student batches are able to complete their practical work and projects on time.

4. Technical issues are resolved within a reasonable time (same day or next day).

5. All required records (attendance, reports, lab logs) are maintained and updated regularly.
