Project Co-ordinator

About the role

A main contractor in Hong Kong is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a data centre project. The company delivers in-house civil, building, mechanical, fire services, plumbing and electrical works, and this role will assist the project team in coordinating drawings, submissions, site activities and technical interfaces from planning through construction and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities across civil, building, mechanical, fire services, plumbing and electrical disciplines.
• Prepare drawings, shop drawings, method statements, technical submissions and material submittals, and follow up comments and approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams on technical queries, coordination matters and project follow-up.
• Track drawing status, submission schedules, approvals and action items to support programme and site progress.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, interface issues and buildability concerns, and assist in resolving them with the project team.
• Prepare RFIs, meeting minutes, technical records, trackers and coordination reports.
• Support statutory and project-related submissions where required, including coordination of records, drawings and information for BA14, Minor Works Control System (MWCS) submissions and related close-out documents.
• Attend coordination meetings, site meetings and technical workshops as required.
• Support construction, testing, commissioning and handover by ensuring project information is issued and updated properly.
• Carry out site checks when required to verify progress and interface conditions.

About you

• Degree / Higher Diploma / Diploma in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Studies, Construction Management or related disciplines.
• 3 years or above relevant experience in project coordination, design coordination, building services, MEP, ABWF, fit-out or construction projects.
• Familiar with drawings, technical submissions, shop drawings and coordination of multi-discipline works.
• Familiar with Hong Kong statutory submissions related to building / A&A works, including BA14 and Minor Works Control System (MWCS) requirements.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Experience with main contractor, E&M contractor, building contractor or fit-out contractor is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM coordination workflow is an advantage.
• Experience in data centre, mission-critical, commercial, A&A or major renovation projects.
