Contracts / Project Manager – Electrical Service & Maintenance

Manage established commercial maintenance contracts and deliver small-to-medium electrical projects for long-term clients across Melbourne.

About the role

Westwoods Electrical is looking for an experienced, reliable and organised Contracts / Project Manager to join our Service & Projects team.

The primary focus of the role will be managing a portfolio of established commercial clients and existing electrical maintenance contracts across Melbourne CBD and surrounding areas.

You will oversee the delivery of planned preventative maintenance, reactive and ad-hoc electrical works, working closely with our service administration team who assist with scheduling, reporting and contract administration.

Depending on the requirements of the maintenance portfolio, the role will also involve managing small to medium electrical projects for our existing service clients.

These projects are predominantly within existing operational buildings and facilities rather than new construction, making the role well suited to someone with a strong service, maintenance or facilities electrical background.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and develop relationships with an existing portfolio of commercial clients.

• Oversee the delivery of electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts.

• Work closely with our administration team to coordinate recurring maintenance requirements.

• Manage maintenance activities including:

  • RCD testing
  • Emergency and exit lighting testing
  • Thermographic inspections
  • Switchboard servicing
  • Electrical testing and compliance works

• Coordinate specialist subcontractors for services including ACB testing, lightning protection testing, generator servicing and test & tag.

• Respond to and manage reactive and ad-hoc client requests.

• Attend sites, scope works and prepare quotations.

• Manage labour allocation and coordinate electricians and subcontractors.

• Ensure contractual maintenance requirements and client expectations are met.

• Attend monthly meetings with clients

• Identify and manage additional works arising from existing maintenance contracts.

• Project manage small to medium electrical works for existing service clients, from quotation and planning through to completion.

• Coordinate works within operational commercial buildings, working closely with clients, building management and other contractors.

• Work as part of the broader Service & Projects team to deliver a high standard of customer service.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience within the electrical service, maintenance or facilities environment.
• Experience managing clients, contracts and multiple concurrent works.
• Electrical project management experience, particularly within existing operational buildings, would be highly regarded.
• A strong understanding of planned preventative electrical maintenance.
• Ability to scope and quote electrical works.
• Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage jobs from quotation through to completion.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• A practical, organised and team-oriented approach.
• Current Victorian driver's licence.
