DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for Mechanical Engineering scope of future GA-ASI workload
  • Develop and maintain project plans including identification of key stakeholders, tailoring of design controls process, task definition to support efficient project tracking, and schedules with critical programmatic and internal design milestones
  • Coordinate design requirements throughout the development process including documentation, traceability to customer/internal requirements, verification and validation methodology, and tracking of artifacts for qualification packages
  • Periodically conduct holistic evaluations of project health using available project planning data and make recommendations to ME staff for successful project execution
  • Communicate progress and path forward with regard to cost, schedule, and technical risk of ME scope amongst key project stakeholders
  • Support project execution via generation of presentations, engineering memos, test plans, test reports, statements of work and other documents
  • Effectively interface across multi-disciplinary teams including other functional engineering departments, manufacturing, procurement, and test facilities (system, ground and flight)
  • Evaluate completed projects for refinement/process improvements and provide recommendations for lessons learned, internal process updates, and training opportunities
  • May provide subcontractor management via support for proposals
  • May represent ME organization at technical and programmatic meetings with customer and sub-contractors

We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
