Project Control Engineer

Project Control Engineer | Qatar

We are looking for a Project Control Engineer to support major projects by monitoring project schedules, progress, budgets, and costs. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in both project planning and cost control, with a strong understanding of contractor performance, project forecasting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project schedules, baselines, critical paths, and recovery plans.
• Track project progress, contractor performance, manpower, and productivity.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, accruals, and cost forecasts.
• Analyze schedule delays and cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly progress reports, cost reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Support the assessment of project claims, variations, extension of time (EOT) requests, and scope changes.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics to monitor project performance.
• Support project risk assessments, contingency planning, and project closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, including 3–5 years in major projects.
• Hands-on experience in both project planning and scheduling and cost control.
• Experience monitoring project progress, contractor performance, budgets, forecasts, and cost variances.
• Ability to prepare project reports and support project changes, claims, and risk assessments.
• Experience in major EPCC or industrial projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), including CPI and TCPI, is preferred.

Candidates with experience limited to scheduling only, cost tracking only, or general project coordination are not the target for this position.
