Project Control Manager

We’re Hiring: Project Controls Manager | Richmond, VA

LK Davis Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support a life sciences project in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers hybrid/remote flexibility, with travel to the project site as required. Candidates must have direct scheduling experience on life sciences or pharmaceutical capital projects.

The opportunity

Lead project controls activities across planning, scheduling, cost management, forecasting, and reporting. Work closely with project leadership, engineering teams, and construction partners to identify risks, maintain reliable forecasts, and support project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6.

• Monitor critical paths, milestones, progress, and schedule performance.

• Coordinate schedule inputs across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

• Oversee cost reporting, forecasts, variance analysis, and change tracking.

• Identify emerging risks and develop practical recovery plans.

• Present clear, actionable performance reports to project leadership.

What we’re looking for

• Demonstrated project controls leadership on complex capital projects.

• Life sciences/pharmaceutical scheduling experience—required.

• Strong Primavera P6 skills and critical path scheduling knowledge.

• Experience integrating schedule, cost, progress, and risk information.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across clients, contractors, and technical teams.

• Availability to travel to Richmond as project needs require.
