Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Project Controller to manage project planning, cost control, scheduling, forecasting, progress measurement, risk management and project performance reporting for a large-scale Greenfield Alumina Refinery project in Nigeria.

The ideal candidate should have 1214 years of relevant Project Controls / Project Management experience, preferably in an Alumina Refinery Plant, with exposure to the complete project lifecycle from Concept, Engineering and Procurement through Construction and Commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead overall Project Controls covering planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting and reporting.
• Develop and maintain the Integrated Project Schedule and monitor progress against the approved baseline.
• Track project milestones, critical path activities, delays and schedule deviations.
• Monitor Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI).
• Establish and monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs and forecasts.
• Prepare and monitor Estimate at Completion (EAC) and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and compare planned versus actual expenditure.
• Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) for physical and financial progress measurement.
• Validate reported physical progress against actual project/site status.
• Prepare monthly Project Cost, Schedule, Progress and MIS Reports for senior management.
• Identify project risks and opportunities and monitor mitigation actions, contingency utilization and savings.
• Evaluate change orders, variations, claims and commercial impacts.
• Monitor contracts, procurement commitments, supplier/contractor progress and payment-related information.
• Coordinate with Project Technical, Engineering, Finance & Accounts, Commercial, Procurement and Senior Management teams.
• Provide project performance analysis and decision-support information to management.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance of project control data and reporting systems.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, suppliers and statutory/government authorities as required.
• Support project governance, audits and compliance requirements.

Mandatory Selection Criteria:

• 1214 years of relevant experience in Project Controls / Project Management.
• Proven Project Management / Project Controls experience in an Alumina Refinery Plant.
• Experience in large-scale Greenfield projects.
• Exposure to the complete project lifecycle from Concept to Commissioning.
• Strong experience in Planning, Cost Control, Scheduling, EVM, Forecasting and MIS Reporting.
• Experience working with EPC/EPCM contractors, consultants, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Project Design & Engineering exposure
• Alumina Refinery / Aluminium / Metals & Mining projects
• Large-scale industrial Greenfield projects
• EPC/EPCM project environment
• Experience in project cost and schedule management
• Experience with international project teams and stakeholders

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech. or Masters Degree in:
  Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Structural Engineering
• Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Project Management or Construction Management from a reputed institute will be preferred.

• PMP Project Management Professional
