Project Controls Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Planner to integrate scheduling, cost, and progress control functions across our project portfolio. Unlike a pure scheduling role, this position combines planning with broader project controls responsibilities — cost tracking, risk/change management, and performance reporting — to give management a complete, data-driven view of project health.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6, integrated with cost and resource data
• Implement and monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics — SPI, CPI, and variance analysis
• Track project costs against budget; support forecasting, cost-to-complete, and variance reporting
• Prepare integrated progress reports combining schedule, cost, and resource performance (S-curves, dashboards, KPIs)
• Support risk management — identify schedule/cost risks and assist in mitigation planning
• Manage change control processes — assess and document the schedule/cost impact of variations and change orders
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and site teams to ensure accurate, consistent project data across systems
• Support delay analysis and EOT (Extension of Time) claims with integrated schedule and cost evidence
• Maintain project controls documentation, baselines, and historical records for audit and lessons-learned purposes
• Assist in preparing project controls plans/procedures for new project mobilizations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• 2–8 years of experience in project controls, combining planning and cost control functions
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6; working knowledge of cost management/ERP tools
• Solid understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
• Experience with change control, risk registers, and variance analysis
• Advanced MS Excel skills for integrated reporting and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE/GCC project experience across construction, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
• PMP, PSP, or CCP certification
• Experience with Power BI or similar dashboarding tools for integrated reporting
• Exposure to EOT claims preparation and delay analysis methodologies
