What they need

Woods & Co are partnering with an established high-end residential builder with an outstanding reputation for delivering bespoke luxury homes across Melbourne. With a strong pipeline of architecturally designed projects, they're looking to add an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of multiple builds.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to be part of a collaborative team delivering some of Melbourne's most impressive residential projects.

Candidates from a luxury residential project background are encouraged to apply, however those with experience working on the tools in a carpentry capacity on high end builds who may be looking to transition into a more technical based role will also be considered.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Managers and wider construction team, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are well coordinated from pre-construction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination of multiple projects.
  • Managing project documentation, RFIs, variations, subcontractor packages and procurement schedules.
  • Coordinating supplier and subcontractor communications to ensure materials and trades are delivered on time.
  • Monitoring project programmes and assisting with construction scheduling.
  • Preparing reports, tracking project costs and maintaining accurate project records.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, architects and internal stakeholders throughout the construction process.
  • Supporting contract administration and ensuring project documentation is maintained to a high standard.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Contract Administrator or similar within the construction industry OR a carpentry background with proven experience in a high end environment
  • Experience delivering either high-end residential homes or commercial construction projects.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • A sound understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery and contract administration processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software (Procore, Jobpac, Buildxact, Cheops or similar is advantageous).
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

What's on Offer

  • Join a respected builder known for delivering premium custom homes.
  • Work alongside an experienced and supportive leadership team.
  • Long-term career development with opportunities to grow into Project Management.
  • Exposure to architecturally designed projects with exceptional finishes.
  • Competitive salary package based on experience.
  • Stable pipeline of quality projects across Melbourne.
