What they need

ARA Hardware, a division of the ARA Group, is a well-established and respected New Zealand supplier of premium door hardware to the construction industry. The team works closely with architects, estimators, project managers and builders to deliver quality hardware solutions and exceptional service across commercial projects.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator with construction or building industry experience to join the Wellington team. This is a hands-on coordination role where you'll be responsible for keeping commercial projects moving - managing timelines, coordinating resources, working closely with customers and installers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on plan and within budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan, schedule, monitor and report on commercial projects to ensure delivery timeframes are met
  • Coordinate internal resources, vendors and installers to ensure project deliverables are achieved
  • Manage changes to project scope, timelines and costs, identifying solutions to keep projects moving
  • Manage customer and stakeholder relationships, including expectations, queries and project updates
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project, audit and compliance records

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience coordinating commercial projects within the construction or building industry
  • Strong project coordination skills, including managing timelines, documentation and competing priorities
  • Excellent computer literacy, particularly Excel and project management systems and tools
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage tight timeframes and build positive relationships

What’s In It for You

  • Full-time, permanent position based in Wellington
  • Working hours: 7.00 am - 4.30 pm, with flexibility to align with either site hours (7.00 am–3.30 pm) or Branch hours (8.00 am–4.30 pm)
  • Competitive salary + KiwiSaver
  • Opportunity to work across a variety of commercial projects
  • Join a New Zealand industry leader offering a supportive and collaborative team environment

If you’re ready to coordinate projects that matter, we’d love to hear from you.
