What they need

Project Coordinator Commercial Construction

Auckland or Wellington | $85,000 to $95,000

Own important commercial construction contracts from intake through to manufacture and install.

Join a long established, leading organisation manufacturing and supplying critical products to projects with Tier 1 and 2 contractors.

This is a hands on coordination role for someone who understands construction, can get across the detail quickly and takes responsibility for making sure the job is right.

You will be the link between clients, site teams and the internal manufacturing operation. Office based with some site visits.

The role

Take ownership of allocated contracts from handover through to completion

Review plans, specifications and schedules and turn them into accurate manufacturing information

Coordinate approvals, variations, contract instructions, drawings and sales orders

Work directly with contractors, consultants, site teams and internal operations

Stay ahead of issues, protect programme and delivery requirements, and keep project records accurate

The five must haves my client is looking for:

1. Commercial construction exposure. You have worked on site, or closely with site teams, and are confident dealing with Tier 1 and 2 contractors.

2. Plans and construction documents. You can read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules and contract information like a book to identify problems and opportunities.

3. Understanding of how a building project comes together. You understand the construction process, sequencing and how decisions affect manufacture, site and programme.

4. End to end ownership. You take responsibility, manage detail, follow through and deal with changes or problems before they become bigger issues.

5. Fast and accurate with systems. You work confidently and quickly across Microsoft Office, project documentation and ERP or similar business systems.

What it means for you

A strong salary, meaningful ownership of key contracts and the chance to genuinely build your technical and project capabilities.

Work with an industry leading organisation.

You will be supported to succeed and grow your career.

If this sound like you, apply through Seek with your CV and a short note outlining your relevant construction experience.

Other offers great for you!
