What they need
Project Coordinator – General Contractor / Residential Construction
We are a growing general contracting company specializing in residential remodels and full-home renovation/flip projects. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Project Coordinator to help manage the day-to-day coordination of our active construction projects.
This position will work closely with our project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team to keep projects organized, schedules on track, materials ordered, documentation current, and communication flowing from the beginning of a project through completion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple residential remodel and full-flip projects from pre-construction through completion.
- Maintain and update construction schedules, project timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to confirm scheduling, availability, scopes of work, and project requirements.
- Track material selections, orders, lead times, delivery dates, and job-site needs to prevent project delays.
- Assist with obtaining and tracking bids, estimates, contracts, change orders, invoices, permits, inspections, and other project documentation.
- Maintain accurate project information and documentation within JobTread, CompanyCam, and Monday.com.
- Review construction plans, drawings, scopes, and project documentation and communicate relevant information to vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding items, scheduling conflicts, delayed materials, and other issues that could affect the construction timeline.
- Conduct job-site visits as needed to document progress, confirm project status, take photos, and identify items requiring follow-up.
- Assist with punch lists and coordinate completion and verification of outstanding work.
- Communicate project updates, deadlines, and outstanding items to the internal team.
- Help maintain organized project files, vendor information, budgets, schedules, and records.
- Coordinate with utility companies, municipalities, inspectors, vendors, and other third parties as needed.
- Proactively identify potential scheduling or coordination issues and work with the team to resolve them before they impact the project.
- Assist with additional construction and operational tasks as projects require.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction coordination, project coordination, residential construction, remodeling, real estate development, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, trades, and project sequencing preferred.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, drawings, scopes of work, and basic project specifications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow through on outstanding items.
- Comfortable communicating directly with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, municipalities, and internal team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable learning and working within construction/project-management software.
- Experience with JobTread, CompanyCam, Monday.com, Google Workspace, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable following up with people. Construction projects have many moving pieces, so we're looking for someone who doesn't wait for problems to surface—they stay ahead of schedules, materials, vendors, documentation, and outstanding tasks.
You should be comfortable managing several priorities at once, asking questions when information is missing, and following an item through until it is fully resolved.
