What they need

Project Coordinator - Commercial Facade & Steel Framing

Frame-Tek | Full Time | Western Sydney

Build Projects That Shape Skylines

Frame-Tek is a provider of engineered light gauge steel framing and facade solutions, partnering with some of Australia's largest builders, developers, and construction companies.

We deliver complex commercial, residential, healthcare, education, aged care, and mixed-use projects, providing the link between design, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and installation.

We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to be involved in every stage of a project, from concept through to installation.

About The Role

This is not a typical administrative coordination role.

You will be responsible for managing the flow of information between clients, builders, engineers, architects, consultants, installers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on programme.

The successful candidate will possess a practical understanding of construction and be able to recognise how engineering, design, manufacturing, delivery sequencing, and installation all impact project outcomes.

You will become a key point of contact throughout project delivery and play an integral role in maintaining strong relationships with Australia's leading builders and developers.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination

  • Manage multiple commercial projects simultaneously from award through to completion.
  • Coordinate project programmes, milestones, approvals, and deliverables.
  • Track project progress and proactively identify potential risks or delays.
  • Ensure all departments are aligned on project priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintain project registers, action lists, and documentation.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a primary point of contact for builders, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings.
  • Coordinate responses to RFIs, design queries, and construction issues.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and consultants.

Design & Engineering Coordination

  • Coordinate engineering reviews, drawing approvals, and design revisions.
  • Monitor outstanding engineering actions and client approvals.
  • Review project documentation for constructability and completeness.
  • Assist in resolving technical and site-related issues.

Manufacturing & Installation Coordination

  • Liaise closely with production teams to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with programme requirements.
  • Coordinate fabrication schedules, delivery sequencing, and installation priorities.
  • Assist with site coordination and project logistics.
  • Support project teams in resolving construction and installation challenges.

Commercial Support

  • Assist with variation management and scope changes.
  • Monitor programme impacts resulting from design changes.
  • Support project managers with reporting and project administration.
  • Maintain accurate project records and correspondence.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who understands construction, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently communicate with people at all levels of a project.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in commercial construction, facade, steel framing, structural steel, project coordination, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working with facade systems, light gauge steel framing, prefabricated construction, or structural steel.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders.
  • Experience using Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar project management software.

The Person

You are someone who:

  • Takes ownership and drives outcomes.
  • Has a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Understands the realities of construction and installation.
  • Can confidently engage with builders, engineers, architects, and site teams.
  • Is proactive, professional, and highly organised.
  • Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Why Join Frame-Tek?

  • Work on some of Australia's most significant commercial and residential developments.
  • Be part of an innovative and growing business.
  • Gain exposure to design, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and construction.
  • Work alongside industry-leading professionals.
  • Genuine opportunities for growth and career development.
  • Supportive team culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
