About the Role

Absolute Interiors is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our Sydney team, supporting the successful delivery of apartment interior and commercial fit-out projects.

Working closely with our Project Managers, Construction Managers and site teams, you will play an important role in coordinating project information, materials, suppliers, subcontractors and site requirements from planning through to delivery.

This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone with construction experience who is confident interpreting drawings, managing material requirements and procurement, and working across multiple stakeholders to keep projects moving.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate day-to-day project activities across apartment interior and commercial fit-out projects.
• Support Project Managers and site teams with project planning, procurement and delivery requirements.
• Review architectural drawings, construction documentation and specifications to identify project requirements.
• Prepare material take-offs, quantity calculations and material schedules, including steel framing, furring channels, battens, plywood and other interior fit-out materials.
• Prepare supplier enquiries, obtain and compare quotations, and assist with supplier selection and order placement.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, back orders and deliveries.
• Monitor material orders and coordinate deliveries with suppliers, warehouses, subcontractors and site teams.
• Assist with project cost and budget information by consolidating quantities, supplier pricing and procurement information.
• Coordinate information between Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Assist with design and technical coordination, including identifying and resolving discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
• Support subcontractor and site coordination to maintain project progress.
• Attend or assist with site inspections and help identify construction, material and coordination issues.
• Maintain accurate project records, material schedules, procurement information and supplier correspondence.
• Monitor outstanding actions, material requirements and supplier orders to minimise potential project delays.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer or similar construction role.
• Experience within interior fit-out, apartment construction or a related construction environment.
• The ability to confidently read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• A good understanding of construction materials, interior fit-out systems and construction methodology.
• Experience completing material take-offs and quantity calculations.
• Understanding of construction procurement processes, supplier quotations and material lead times.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and document management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively follow up outstanding actions.
• Knowledge of Australian construction documentation and building requirements.
• Experience using AutoCAD/CAD and Bluebeam will be highly regarded.
