Project Coordinator – Fiber Construction OSP

West Coral Communications is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support our underground fiber construction operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and previous experience working with fiber construction documents, invoicing, and project closeout paperwork.

Previous fiber construction experience is required. Applicants without relevant experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fiber construction maps, prints, and route plans
• Review field production and confirm completed footage and units
• Prepare, review, and submit project invoices
• Complete and maintain accurate redlines and as-built documentation
• Track daily production, materials, job progress, and project costs
• Verify billing codes, quantities, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and customers
• Identify missing or incorrect paperwork before invoicing
• Maintain organized digital and physical project files
• Assist with change orders, billing discrepancies, and project closeout packages
• Communicate project updates, delays, and documentation needs to management

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in fiber-optic or telecommunications construction
• Proven ability to read and understand fiber maps and construction prints
• Experience with invoicing, billing units, redlines, and as-built documentation
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and PDF software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to communicate effectively with field crews and management
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with underground fiber construction
• Familiarity with plowing, boring, trenching, missile work, pedestals, handholes, and fiber placement
• Experience working with prime contractors, telecommunications providers, or utility construction companies
• Experience with production tracking, material reconciliation, and project closeouts

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with additional hours as project needs require
• Location: Campbellsville KY
• Pay: Based on experience
