What they need

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join the Property & Infrastructure team of a major government agency on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and commercially minded project professional to support a portfolio of property and infrastructure initiatives within a complex government environment.

Working closely with Project Managers, senior stakeholders and delivery teams, you will provide high-quality project coordination, reporting and analytical support. A key component of the role will be developing business cases, project reports and supporting documentation to assist with investment and project decision-making.

About the role

You will play a key role in supporting the successful planning and delivery of property and infrastructure projects, including:

  • Developing and coordinating business cases, investment papers and project proposals

  • Preparing clear and concise project reports, dashboards and updates for senior stakeholders

  • Supporting Project Managers with project planning, scheduling and delivery

  • Coordinating project governance processes, meetings, agendas, papers and actions

  • Maintaining project plans, registers, documentation and reporting systems

  • Tracking project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and deliverables

  • Supporting financial management, including budgets, expenditure tracking, purchase orders and invoices

About you

We are looking for someone who combines strong project coordination skills with excellent written and analytical capability.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Support, Project Analyst or similar role

  • Demonstrated experience preparing business cases, project papers, reports or investment documentation

  • Strong report writing and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to turn complex information into clear, concise reporting

  • Experience working across multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Experience supporting governance processes and senior stakeholders

  • An understanding of project financials, procurement, approvals and reporting

What you'll bring

You will be someone who can take a large amount of information, understand what matters and turn it into clear, accurate and useful documentation for decision-makers.

You will be confident writing business cases and reports, coordinating input from multiple stakeholders and ensuring information is ready for governance and senior leadership review.

You will also be highly organised and comfortable managing the detail behind projects — tracking actions, milestones, risks, financials and deliverables while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

Experience working within a government or similarly complex environment will be highly regarded, particularly where you have worked within formal governance, approval and reporting frameworks.

What's in it for you?

  • 6-month fixed-term contract with a major government agency

  • Opportunity to work within a significant Property & Infrastructure function

  • Exposure to complex property and infrastructure initiatives
