What they need

We are adding a Project Coordinator Intern to help us manage a new project for a renewable energy firm based in Germany. They have a lot of moving parts in their Hamburg operations that need better digital organization, and our team is building the database tools to make that happen. In this role, you will help us stay on schedule and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks as we move their data from messy spreadsheets into a structured system.

About Pixel Systems Pixel Systems is a small, fully remote software agency. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites that look pretty but do not do much. We focus on the practical stuff, like admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need their software tools to finally talk to one another. We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward: we provide fixed quotes, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything when we are finished. We are a team of senior developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends. Since we are a remote company, we rely on clear documentation and honest communication to get things done.

The Role As a Project Coordinator Intern, you will be in the middle of our development process. You will spend your time helping the team stay organized while we work on the renewable energy platform. This means attending weekly client demos, taking clear notes on what needs to change, and updating our task lists so the developers know exactly what to do next. You will also help with basic documentation, like writing short guides or recording walkthrough videos to show the client how to use their new tools. Because we are a fully remote company, you will rely heavily on written communication to keep everyone on the same page. This is a full-time, paid position, and the compensation is competitive for an internship in this field.

What you will be doing

  • Participating in project meetings and keeping track of technical requirements.
  • Organizing tasks in our project management tools to make sure developers have clear instructions.
  • Helping to draft simple documentation for the admin panels and databases we build.
  • Checking in with the team to see if there are blockers or missing information from the client.
  • Assisting with the handover process by organizing walkthrough videos and final code files.
  • Learning how a small, senior software agency operates from the inside.
  • Helping to maintain the project schedule so we meet our weekly demo goals.

What we are looking for

  • A high level of organization. You are the kind of person who likes to keep things in their proper place.
  • Clear, plain English writing skills. You can explain a technical problem without using confusing jargon.
  • A basic understanding of how software projects work, even if you have not managed one before.
  • Reliability. Since we work remotely, we need to know that you will do what you say you are going to do.
  • Comfort with unflashy work. You should be happy helping build an internal database tool rather than a social media app.
  • Ability to follow through on small details that others might miss.

Helpful background

  • Familiarity with tools like Trello, Notion, or Jira for tracking tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of spreadsheets (like Google Sheets or Excel) for organizing data.
  • An interest in renewable energy or industrial operations.
  • Any experience in a customer service or administrative role where you had to manage multiple requests at once.
  • A general curiosity about how databases and APIs work.

Working at Pixel Systems Working here is different from a typical corporate environment. There are no layers of management to navigate. You will work directly with the people building the software. We value honesty and practicality. If a plan is not working, we talk about it and change it. We focus on shipping work that helps real people, like the teams in Germany managing wind and solar assets, rather than trying to impress people with fancy slide decks. You will have the flexibility of a fully remote setup and the opportunity to learn how to manage projects in a way that is efficient and drama-free.

We are a small team that values quiet productivity. We do not have long, unnecessary meetings or complex hierarchies. We just want to build good tools for our clients and then get on with our day. If you appreciate a straightforward way of working and want to see how software projects are actually delivered, you will fit in well here.
