What they need
Project Coordinator – Land Development
Christchurch
We are a well-established, multidisciplinary land development consultancy with offices across New Zealand. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly organised and process-driven Project Coordinator in our Christchurch office to play a central role in advancing our land development projects from concept through consenting, subdivision and delivery.
This is not a project management role. It is a coordination and delivery role, suited to someone who thrives on structure, momentum and accountability.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating a large portfolio of land development projects, typically up to 50 at any one time, ensuring steady progress through internal workflows and external approval processes.
You will act as the central point of coordination between our internal disciplines (planning, surveying, engineering), councils, consultants, contractors and clients.
Over time, you will also take responsibility for project invoicing and financial tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track multiple land development projects through consenting and subdivision processes
- Drive project momentum by following up actions, deadlines and approvals
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure information flows and tasks are progressed
- Maintain clear, accurate project records and registers
- Use software tools and systems to manage workflows, timelines and reporting
- Communicate directly with clients to provide clear progress updates
- Prepare and issue project invoices once projects reach billing stages
- Continuously improve internal processes and coordination systems
About You
You will be highly organised, calm under pressure, and methodical in your approach. You enjoy structure, checklists, systems and seeing things through to completion.
This role suits someone with experience in land development, surveying, planning, engineering support, or a comparable coordination environment. It would also suit candidates from structured delivery backgrounds such as defence, logistics, construction coordination or operations.
You will bring:
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing with clients and external stakeholders
- A process-driven mindset with attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing momentum
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project or task management software
- A proactive, accountable approach to delivery
What We Offer
- A key role in a respected and growing nationwide consultancy
- Exposure to a wide range of land development projects
- A professional, no-nonsense working environment
- Competitive remuneration based on experience
If you are someone who brings order, clarity and momentum to complex workflows, we would like to hear from you.
Other offers great for you!
