What they need
Join the Commerce Commission at an exciting time as we take on responsibility for regulating development levies, while supporting a broad range of infrastructure regulation projects and initiatives.
We're looking for a Project Coordinator to help keep a wide range of work programmes and projects running smoothly across our Infrastructure Regulation Branch. This is a permanent opportunity based in either our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.
Mō te Teranga | About the role
This role provides coordination, administrative and financial project support across a variety of teams within the Branch, with a particular focus on supporting the Commission's emerging work as the independent regulator of development levies.
You will work closely with project managers and subject matter experts, helping to coordinate activities, maintain project documentation, support reporting and budgeting processes, and ensure information is accurately managed. The role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to contribute to work that has a meaningful impact on infrastructure services and outcomes for New Zealand communities.
We offer a collaborative environment, exposure to a diverse range of regulatory work, and the opportunity to build your project coordination skills while working alongside experienced professionals.
The indicative salary range for this role is $75,139 - $88,399 plus 3.5% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.
He kōrero mōu | About you
You're highly organised, enjoy bringing structure to complex pieces of work, and take pride in your attention to detail. You are proactive, enjoy building positive working relationships, and understand the importance of keeping people informed and projects on track.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Proven administration or project coordination experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support a range of teams
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Previous experience supporting projects, programmes, regulatory work, public sector initiatives or policy-related work would be beneficial, but is not essential.
