About us
Hightower designs, installs and supports electronic security systems for commercial, industrial, multi-family and educational properties across Western Canada. Our work includes access control, video surveillance, video intercom, intrusion alarms, parcel lockers, networks and phone systems, on both new construction and retrofits. We work with Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone, Axis, Kantech, HID, dormakaba, Bosch, ButterflyMX, 1VALET and others.

The role
We’re looking for an organized, hands-on coordinator to keep our projects moving. You’ll be the link between our clients, general contractors, the office and our installation crews. Some days that means scheduling and ordering. Other days it means being on site or on the phone helping a tech get a system programmed and working.

What you’ll do

• Schedule installation crews and keep job timelines on track
• Order equipment, track deliveries and manage materials for each job
• Coordinate with general contractors, property managers and clients on site access, progress and changes
• Read drawings and scopes of work, and help prepare material lists for quotes
• Provide technical support to installers, including system configuration, programming and troubleshooting
• Set up access control credentials, camera settings and basic network configurations
• Track change orders, prepare as-builts and put together closeout documents
• Coordinate service calls and follow up to make sure issues are fully resolved
• Visit job sites for walkthroughs, inspections and handovers

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years in project coordination, field support or installation in security, low-voltage, electrical or construction
• Working knowledge of access control and/or video surveillance systems
• Comfortable reading construction drawings and specs
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, PoE)
• Strong communication and organization skills; able to juggle multiple jobs at once
• Proficient with email, spreadsheets and scheduling tools
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Assets

• Manufacturer certifications (Genetec, Avigilon, Kantech, HID, Milestone, etc.)
• Network+ or similar
• Experience with commercial construction projects and working alongside GCs

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
