Position: Project Delivery Lead/Senior Project Delivery Lead

Reports to: Project Delivery Manager

Position Value Proposition

Responsible to lead the production team in planning, resourcing, coordination, and reporting of assigned projects – generally large and/or complex jobs. This includes the management of internal clients, deliverables, allocated work teams and production budget. This role demands proactive agreement of project objectives with all internal stakeholders, and management of these objectives within agreed production budgets and timelines. Senior Project Delivery Lead will work closely and collaboratively with the Project Manager and may be required to contribute to external client proposals or communications as needed.

In conjunction with their Project Delivery Manager, this role will also be responsible for the development and continual learning of their assigned teams, including monitoring and appropriately actioning lessons learned.

This role may also be required to stand in as Project Delivery Manager when needed.

Core Responsibilities

Responsible for being in first point of contact with project management team when assigned to large and/or complex job.

Responsible for a full understanding of the scope and of what the expectations are of the teams and individuals - involved in the project.

In conjunction with the Project Delivery Manager, ensuring appropriate allocation of hours and resourcing for each team or project requirement.

In conjunction with project manager, responsible that change orders are identified, documented, and submitted in a timely manner.

Responsible to assess and coordinate with Project Management team on project detailing schedules and budgeted hours, then monitor progress of Production team against same. Includes review and approval of weekly progress reports.

Responsible for supporting DBM Vircon process and procedures, including, but not limited to, project execution planning and risk planning.

Accountable to ensure all projects are performing in accordance with quality and productivity Key

Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and are meeting project schedule or deliverable requirements.

Responsible for reviewing any possible risks to the scope of works or schedule or budget achievement and if it is within their control, use best efforts to mitigate any negative impacts and escalate if necessary.

Position Description

Responsible for tracking monthly project billing hours against anticipated budget targets, follow up with PMO to convert significant scope variations.

Responsible for ensuring that data input is consistently maintained to guarantee complete and accurate WIP reporting.

Responsible for ensuring all quality improvement processes are diligently followed by the team members during project execution.

Responsible for assisting in the coaching and mentoring of staff, identify and support to resolve technical issues raised by the teams.

In consultation with the Project Delivery Manager, responsible to support on-going training initiatives.

Responsible to drive DBM Vircon quality standards and application of lessons learned.

Responsible to collaborate with people to ensure seamless project execution, reinforce positive morale and uphold company core values.

Work Experience

Seven (7) years related experience in lead roles within a detailing office, e.g., Team Leader, Technical Leader, Senior Checker, etc.

Experience in managing and leading multiple resources on projects with a proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Education/Training

University Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering, or equivalent

relevant experience.

Certificate or training in 3D modelling software, e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Rhino, etc. Certificate in Project Management is an asset.

Certificate in Leadership is an asset.
