Project Design Engineer

Southern Lubrication Pvt. Ltd. (SLPL) has been designing and building lube oil systems and piping skids for rotating machinery since 1990. With 4,000+ skids delivered, we supply major OEMs in India and abroad across power, oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, cement and steel. Our work is known for reliable design and performance.

We’re looking for a Project Design Engineer to own lubrication system projects end to end.

What you’ll do

• Review customer specifications and project requirements
• Build 3D models and prepare General Arrangement (GA), fabrication and piping drawings
• Perform engineering calculations to size and select bought-out components: pumps, coolers, filters, heaters, valves and instruments
• Prepare technical datasheets for bought-out items and support procurement with technical evaluation of vendor offers
• Prepare customer-facing documentation: drawings, datasheets, BOMs, and drawing and document submissions for approval
• Handle customer comments and revisions through to final approval
• Coordinate with production and quality teams during manufacturing, inspection and testing
• Track project schedules and deliverables

What we’re looking for

• DME / BE in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years in mechanical or piping design, preferably in the Power or Oil & Gas sectors
• Working knowledge of ASME, ANSI and API standards (API 614 exposure is a strong plus)
• Hands-on with AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and customer specifications
• Clear written and spoken English for customer communication
• Ownership and attention to detail
