Project Development Engineer (Automotive)

We are looking for a Project Development Engineer (Automotive) to join our team and support the development and execution of automotive projects. The role involves project planning, process development, technical coordination, and collaboration with OEM customers, suppliers, and overseas partners, particularly in China.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on international automotive projects and gain exposure to a dynamic, cross-cultural engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes for automotive projects.
• Support new project development from concept, process planning, trial, validation, and implementation.
• Coordinate with OEM customers, suppliers, and internal departments on project requirements and technical matters.
• Conduct on-site coordination, troubleshooting, and follow-up during project implementation.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet required quality, safety, productivity, and efficiency standards.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, technical reports, presentations, and project-related documents.
• Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, audits, trials, and technical discussions.
• Communicate and coordinate with Chinese customers and business partners when required.
• Travel to China and other countries for project execution, meetings, audits, and technical support (if any)

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, project development, process engineering, or related industries will be an advantage.
• Mandarin proficiency (speaking and reading) is highly preferred for communication with Chinese customers and suppliers.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project coordination, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Willing to travel internationally for project-related assignments.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
