Project Director - Civil Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director - Civil Engineer to join Net Pacific, Inc. in a full-time capacity based in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a strategic leadership position that plays a critical role in overseeing the successful delivery of major civil and structural engineering projects. As Project Director, you will be responsible for managing complex project portfolios, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards whilst leading multidisciplinary teams. This role is fundamental to our commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure solutions and advancing Net Pacific's position as a leading engineering firm in the region.

What you'll be doing

• Directing and overseeing all aspects of civil and structural engineering projects from inception through to completion, including planning, design, construction and commissioning phases
• Developing comprehensive project management strategies, including budgets, schedules, resource allocation and risk management plans
• Leading, mentoring and supervising project teams, including engineers, technicians and site staff, whilst fostering a culture of safety, collaboration and excellence
• Managing stakeholder relationships and maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors, consultants and government agencies
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, standards and environmental requirements throughout project delivery
• Conducting regular site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure work meets design specifications and contractual obligations
• Managing project budgets, tracking expenditures and implementing cost control measures to ensure financial viability
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, developing contingency plans and implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Preparing and presenting progress reports, proposals and technical documentation to senior management and clients
• Evaluating tender submissions and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is highly desirable
• Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in civil and structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a project management or project directorship capacity
• Extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects with budgets exceeding PHP 500 million, including commercial, residential, institutional or infrastructure development projects
• Proven expertise in project scheduling, budget management, resource planning and risk assessment methodologies
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety protocols and building codes relevant to the Philippines and international standards
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities and proven track record of maintaining positive relationships with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities
• Advanced proficiency with project management software and tools (such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar), CAD software and data analysis applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Filipino is advantageous
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental best practices, with knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or similar management systems
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and proven capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively
