Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Head of AI to work on a contract basis. This role leads the design, development, and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions that enhance teaching, learning, research, and administrative operations across the institution. The ideal candidate will collaborate with academic teams, IT, researchers, and leadership stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and deploy production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the AI roadmap aligned with academic and operational goals for the institution.

• Identify and evaluate high-impact AI use cases for student success, admissions, academic support, research enablement, and automation.

• Build, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models for automated student support, predictive analytics, content generation, and academic analytics.

• Design and maintain AI systems while ensuring responsible AI adoption aligned with institutional policies.

• Partner with academic teams, IT, and leadership to drive digital transformation and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with academic workflows and institutional operations to drive AI adoption.

• Proficiency in machine learning and generative AI model development and deployment.

• Strong background in predictive analytics and automated student support systems.

• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and propose scalable AI solutions.

• Understanding of responsible AI practices and institutional policy alignment.
