Project Director

Role Description

The Project Director is responsible for leading and managing major projects from planning through completion, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, quality, and stakeholder expectations are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall project planning, execution, and completion.
• Develop project strategies, objectives, schedules, and delivery plans.
• Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, KPIs, and performance.
• Lead project managers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Coordinate with clients, senior management, and key stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, delays, and cost impacts.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, variations, contracts, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, technical, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractors, materials, and project resources.
• Manage project changes, claims, approvals, and contractual matters.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts, presentations, and management updates.
• Resolve technical, commercial, and operational project issues.
• Maintain effective communication across all project stakeholders.
• Drive project quality, efficiency, continuous improvement, and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in project management and senior project leadership.
• Experience managing large-scale or complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience with contracts, procurement, risk, quality, and compliance management.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict project deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant professional certification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UAE regulations and relevant industry standards is preferred.
• Professional, organized, accountable, and results-oriented.
