Project Director (Construction)

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead and oversee the successful execution of high-rise and low-rise building construction projects from inception to handover.

·        Develop and implement project execution strategies, construction plans, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives.

·        Manage overall project performance, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, and commercial aspects.

·        Direct and supervise multidisciplinary project teams, including Project Managers, Site Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers ,Safety, and supporting functions.

·        Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure project milestones are achieved.

·        Oversee project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, cash flow, and financial performance.

·        Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, engineering standards, local regulations, and company policies.

·        Coordinate and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and government authorities.

·        Lead project meetings, provide regular progress reports, and communicate project status to senior management and clients.

·        Review and approve construction methodologies, project schedules, procurement plans, and resource planning.

·        Resolve technical, commercial, and contractual issues throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Promote continuous improvement in construction processes, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

·        Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and company safety standards.

·        Mentor, coach, and develop project leadership teams to build organizational capability.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

·        Master's degree is an advantage.

·        Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

·        Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry.

·        At least 8 years of experience leading large-scale high-rise and low-rise building construction projects in a senior management role.

·        Proven experience managing projects with significant construction value from project commencement through completion.
