Project Director (Data Center)

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

Management Competencies

• Strong cross-functional leadership across clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Skilled in negotiation, cost control, risk management, and delivering under pressure.

Project Strategy & Planning

• Develop MEP execution plans, schedules, procurement strategy, and coordinate with key stakeholders.
• Review technical specifications and contract terms.

Design Management

• Oversee design development, construction drawings, and major equipment selection.

Construction & Delivery

• Lead on-site MEP construction, schedule control, quality assurance, and resource management.

Testing & Commissioning

• Manage L1–L5 commissioning, system acceptance, as-built documentation, and project handover.

Commercial & Supply Chain

• Control MEP budget, manage variations and claims, and ensure timely delivery of critical equipment.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and EHS requirements while maintaining zero major safety incidents.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related MEP discipline.
• 10+ years of MEP project management experience, with at least 3 years in full-cycle delivery of large-scale data centers (single project capacity ≥20MW preferred).
• Proven track record of managing the complete lifecycle from design and procurement through construction and commissioning to final handover.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Professional Knowledge & Skills:

• Deep expertise in data center infrastructure: utility & generator distribution, 2N/3N UPS systems, chilled water/ indirect evaporative cooling, fire alarm and suppression systems, BMS/EPMS, etc.
• Strong drawing review skills.
• Proficient in using MS Project/ P6 and CAD/BIM environments for planning and design coordination.

Certification:

• Registered Professional Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical), PMP, Uptime ATD/ ATS, CDCP/ CDCS, etc.
• Familiarity with Tier standards (Tier III/IV)
• Familiarity with Thailand engineering standards
