Project (Energy) Engineer

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced Projects (Energy)Engineer to support implementation of the site’s energy initiatives. To support the Engineering Department in delivering solutions to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Manages projects from small and medium to large engineering projects related to the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Involvement typically runs from conception through design, construction, start-up and validation. Directs the project activities of outsourced engineers and designers where required.

YOUR ROLE

• Leads implementation of approved energy reduction projects on the Dublin site through Engineering department to deliver company and site strategic goals. (This includes concept, design and implementation phases)
• Provides technical support to EHS manager on Energy related topics to support Decarbonisation strategy development and deployment.
• Provides EHS manager with guidance on energy reduction best practice.
• Supports site LT in developing long term alternative energy options.
• Leads implementation of general CAPEX projects to deliver company and site strategic goals. (This includes concept, design and implementation phases)
• Other assignments as required by the business.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Engineering Degree or equivalent an advantage.
• 10+ years industrial experience in a projects or engineering role, with specific experience in energy.
• Proven experience using AutoCAD to create, modify, and maintain technical drawings and documentation.
• Electrical background an advantage
• Good influencing skills.
• Proven communication skills and an ability to interface across the entire site.
• Ability to use leadership skills (& behaviours) to positively manage and motivate others and get the best results through others.
• Strong problem resolution, judgement and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated Project management skills.
• Budget Awareness/adherence.
• Ability to generate and manage projects to schedule.
• A sound working knowledge of safety legislation and safety methodology.
