Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer

About the Role

Smith & Co is partnering with established and growing civil contractors delivering a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects across Southeast Queensland and regional locations.

With multiple projects underway and further works secured, we are seeking experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers interested in local SEQ positions, FIFO opportunities or relocating for the right project.

Project exposure includes TMR and road infrastructure, water, bulk earthworks, FRP works, piling, substations, subdivisions, utilities and major civil infrastructure.

You’ll work alongside Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams to coordinate day-to-day delivery, manage subcontractors, track costs and programs, and ensure works meet project specifications and HSEQ requirements.

Salary & Benefits

• $150K–$180K + Super + Company Vehicle, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and FRP works from planning through to project completion
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, procurement and daily site activities
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, progress claims and construction programs
• Maintain compliance with HSEQ requirements, specifications and quality plans
• Support Project Managers and Supervisors to achieve key delivery milestones

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in civil construction
• Exposure to TMR, Roads, Water, FRP, Piling, Substations or Infrastructure
• Sound knowledge of civil construction methodologies and project sequencing
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site-based operations
• Strong commercial, communication and stakeholder management capabilities
