Project Engineer (Assistant Project Manager)

Employment Type: 5-month contract (with the possibility of full-time employment for candidates who are open to relocation to upcountry project sites)

Working days and hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Project Location: CRC Tower, 87 Witthayu Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management, Control & Owner Coordination

• Support the Project Manager in overseeing daily project activities and coordinating with all relevant stakeholders.
• Act as the main coordination point with the Owner’s Thailand-based management team, following up on instructions, approvals, and outstanding matters.
• Represent and support the Project Manager in coordination meetings, site inspections, and progress discussions when required.
• Assist in planning, monitoring, and updating the renovation master schedule, including detailed weekly and monthly work plans.
• Track site progress against approved schedules and report progress, risks, and constraints to the Project Manager.
• Support cost control activities, including monitoring variation works, additional works, and material usage.
• Prepare, submit, and manage project documentation, including shop drawings, material and sample submittals, method statements, as-built drawings and handover documents

2. Technical & Quality Assurance (Interior & Architectural Works)

• Ensure all renovation works comply with approved drawings, interior design concepts, specifications, and hotel brand standards.
• Supervise and inspect interior and architectural works, including but not limited to:
• Architectural finishes (walls, ceilings, flooring)
• Built-in furniture, loose furniture, and joinery works
• Doors, partitions, glass, and decorative elements
• Back-of-house renovation areas
• Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, and consultants to resolve design clashes and site-related technical issues.
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and workmanship meets required standards.

3. Site Coordination & Communication

• Act as a key coordination point between contractors, subcontractors, designers, consultants, and hotel representatives.
• Organize and attend site coordination meetings, progress meetings, and inspections.
• Coordinate renovation works to minimize impact on hotel guests and daily hotel operations.
• Communicate effectively in English when dealing with international consultants, designers, or hotel operators.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or equivalent role.
3. Proven experience in hotel, hospitality, or high-end interior renovation projects is highly preferred.
4. Experience working in occupied buildings or renovation projects with operational constraints is an advantage.
5. Strong understanding of interior and architectural construction methods and materials.
6. Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural and interior drawings.
7. Good planning, coordination, and on-site problem-solving skills.
8. Proficient in relevant software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and basic project scheduling tools.
9. Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
10. Possession of a Professional License (กว.) is an advantage.
11. Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
12. Good teamwork and coordination skills, with a service-minded attitude suitable for hotel projects.
