Project Engineer (C&S)

Job Summary

The Project Engineer (C&S) is responsible for coordinating and managing Civil & Structural works on site. The role ensures works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Supervise and coordinate daily Civil & Structural works on site.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundation, formwork, reinforcement, and concreting works.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, M&E teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Resolve technical and site coordination issues.
• Monitor construction progress, manpower, materials, and work schedules.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure workmanship meets project quality requirements.
• Prepare method statements, progress reports, inspection records, and other project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and approved construction procedures.

• Good knowledge of Civil & Structural construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundation, and temporary works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.
• Knowledge of BIM/Revit, Primavera P6, or MS Project will be an advantage.

Skills & Knowledge

• Good understanding of construction processes, quality control, and safety requirements.
• Strong site coordination and construction planning skills.
• Good reporting and technical documentation skills.

Formal Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline.

Major Study / Specialist

Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience Required

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant Civil & Structural construction experience.
• Hands-on experience supervising structural works and coordinating site activities.
• Experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, MRT, or complex construction projects will be an advantage.
