Project Engineer (Civil & Structure)

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Project Management team as a Project Engineer (C&S) at Damai Abadi (Johor) Sdn Bhd. Reporting to Project Director, you'll play a crucial role in delivering civil and structural engineering solutions and initiatives for new projects.

We are specifically seeking a Project Engineer (C&S) with specialized expertise in building construction, focusing on Reinforced Concrete (RC) works for high-rise developments. You will be responsible for overseeing all on-site RC structural activities, ensuring high-density vertical construction sequences are executed according to structural drawings and project timelines.

Job Descriptions:

• Lead and oversee the planning, design, and implementation of civil and structural engineering projects.
• Oversee and manage all on-site Reinforced Concrete (RC) works, ensuring structural integrity and compliance for high-rise towers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Prepare detailed project reports, drawings, and other documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Competence Requirements:

• Key Skills: Specialist in High-Rise RC Structures, Formwork & Structural Integrity, and Vertical Development Construction Sequences.
• 3+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a proven track record in RC works for high-rise buildings.
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in the use of engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and building codes in Malaysia. PER or JKR registration would be an advantage.
• Experience in hotel, high-rise, or mixed-development projects is an advantage.
• Willing to relocate.
