Project Engineer Civil

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Project Engineer – Civil to lead civil engineering project execution, manage technical deliverables, and drive project delivery through sound engineering practice and effective coordination. This role bridges technical understanding and project management to effectively deliver our services to clients.

This is a target-based, fully remote role with flexible working hours.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects from conception through completion
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project conditions, identify potential challenges, and ensure compliance with specifications
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, progress reports, and technical assessments
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure effective project coordination and communication
• Monitor construction activities and quality standards, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and safety regulations
• Support the development of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing corrective measures as needed
• Maintain accurate records of project data and contribute to ongoing project evaluations and improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
• Solid understanding of civil and structural engineering fundamentals
• Ability to perform structural calculations and basic load calculations
• Proficient in reading and preparing civil/structural drawings
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for calculations and engineering documentation
• Working knowledge of Indonesian National Standards (SNI) and relevant codes/standards for civil and structural works
• Able to prepare engineering calculation reports and technical documentation
• Capable of conducting design reviews, technical analysis, and practical problem-solving
• Clear understanding of project scope, technical requirements, and deliverables
• Able to coordinate effectively with engineers from other disciplines and with clients
• Capable of managing multiple projects and deliverables with competing deadlines
• Demonstrates strong ownership over assigned technical deliverables
• Basic awareness of man-hour estimation and project cost awareness
• Able to distinguish between original scope, design revisions, and additional client requests
• Skilled in managing project timelines and engineering deliverables across disciplines
• Comfortable working in cross-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, and other engineering teams)
• Familiarity with construction site practices and execution is an advantage
• Understanding of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity estimation is an advantage
• 2–4 years of practical experience in civil or structural engineering projects
• Sound knowledge of relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable in Indonesia
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and strong attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to work within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing project priorities
• Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus

Additional Skills:

• Experience with structural analysis software: SAP2000 / ETABS / STAAD.Pro
• Experience with Revit Structure / Civil 3D and understanding of BIM concepts
• Knowledge of international standards such as ACI, ASCE, or Eurocode is highly valued
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or eligibility is a strong advantage
