JOB SUMMARY

Apex Mining Co., Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer – Project Engineer to join our Construction Department.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support in the planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of construction projects. The position will work closely with the Construction team, contractors, suppliers, and other concerned departments to ensure that project activities are implemented in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the planning and implementation of civil construction projects.
• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at project sites.
• Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality and progress of construction works.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, project personnel, and concerned departments regarding project requirements and activities.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, and targets.
• Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Monitor the utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and other project resources.
• Identify and report construction issues, delays, deficiencies, and other concerns requiring appropriate action.
• Assist in monitoring project costs, quantities, and accomplishments.
• Prepare project progress reports, accomplishment reports, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and review of project estimates, work schedules, and other engineering requirements.
• Conduct measurements and verification of completed works and project accomplishments.
• Coordinate project inspections, punch listing, corrective actions, completion, and turnover activities.
• Ensure that construction activities comply with applicable company policies, project requirements, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the concerned HSE/Safety personnel to promote safe execution of construction activities.
• Assist in maintaining proper project documentation and records.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Civil Engineer with a valid PRC license.
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, project implementation, or related field.
• Experience in construction site supervision and project coordination is an advantage.
• Knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, progress monitoring, and quantity/cost monitoring.
• Computer literate and proficient in common engineering and office applications.
• Good analytical, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to prepare technical and project-related reports.
• Willing to work in a field/construction environment.
• Willing to work in Maco, Davao de Oro.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position involves regular field and site work within a mining and construction environment. The successful candidate must be willing to work on-site and comply with applicable company safety policies, procedures, and site requirements.
