Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will be responsible for technical coordination, site supervision, document control, and communication with clients and consultants. The position requires hands-on knowledge in project execution, technical drawing preparation, and financial tracking through progress claims.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine installation procedures
• Install or supervise installation of equipment, with focus on UPS systems, per manufacturer and project specifications
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
• Engage with clients and consultants to interpret technical needs and ensure satisfaction
• Conduct quality control for budgets, schedules, and project plans, and report progress regularly
• Assign tasks and mentor junior team members to ensure quality and accountability
• Collaborate with project managers and all relevant parties to provide technical support and resolve issues
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions when needed
• Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings as required

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a project engineering role, preferably in power systems or electrical installations
• Hands-on experience with UPS systems and related electrical infrastructure
• Solid understanding of technical drawings, site execution, and project documentation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Excel
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with progress claims, billing procedures, and project financial reporting
• Knowledge of safety standards and local regulations
