Project Engineer

About the role

Gold Banner Construction and Development Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to join our construction team. . As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects, working closely with project managers, contractors and site teams to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your engineering expertise whilst contributing to the delivery of significant construction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations and quality standards
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess progress, identify potential issues and ensure adherence to design drawings and technical requirements
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress documentation and photographic evidence
• Liaise between the design team, contractors and project management to resolve technical queries and implement solutions promptly
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Assist in developing and monitoring project budgets and schedules, reporting on financial and time performance
• Contribute to health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance, promoting safe working practices across all site activities
• Support the project manager with administrative tasks, including documentation, correspondence and stakeholder communications
• Identify risks and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline
• 3-5 years of post-graduation experience in construction project management or site engineering
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, safety regulations and quality assurance standards
• Proficiency in using construction management software, Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with proven capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and records
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
• Valid professional membership or willingness to pursue Chartered Membership with relevant engineering institutions
