Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator / Project Engineer with strong experience in yacht new building, yacht refit, ship repair, or dry-docking projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical and piping systems, project coordination, and marine engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor yacht new-build, refit, repair, and dry-docking projects.
• Coordinate mechanical and piping installation, modification, overhaul, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, vessel crews, clients, and classification societies.
• Monitor project schedules, work progress, manpower, materials, and project requirements.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, work scopes, and project documentation.
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable Class requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Identify technical/site issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate activities across multiple departments.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in yacht building, yacht refit, ship repair, dry-docking, or marine projects.
• Previous experience working as a Project Engineer / Project Coordinator in yacht new building and/or yacht repair.
• Mechanical Engineer or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong experience in mechanical and piping systems, including new installations, modifications, maintenance, and overhauling.
• Good knowledge of machinery and piping system functionality on ships or yachts.
• General awareness of Classification Society rules and requirements, preferably experience with IACS societies such as Lloyd's Register (LR), ABS, RINA, etc.
• Experience working in a multinational / multicultural environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong communication, coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Shell doors
• Stern ramps
• Accommodation ladders
• Passerelle systems
• Tender cranes
• Other yacht-specific mechanical and marine equipment

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with hands-on experience in luxury yachts, yacht refit, new-build projects, or high-end marine repair will be strongly preferred.
