Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the successful execution of HVAC construction projects. The role involves assisting the Project Manager in overseeing on-site operations, coordinating with property management and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and assisting the on-site HVAC construction activities
• Monitor project progress and ensure work execution aligns with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards
• Coordinate with site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and property management to support smooth project operations
• Prepare and organize project materials, equipment, and documentation prior to construction activities
• Conduct site inspections and monitor HVAC installation works
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to air-conditioning systems and equipment
• Maintain effective communication with clients, property management, and internal teams during and after project implementation
• Support project testing, commissioning, punch listing, and project acceptance activities
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation for management review
• Escalate critical issues and recommend solutions to ensure timely project completion

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in HVAC project execution, construction, or related engineering work
• Knowledgeable in VRF systems and/or water-cooled air-conditioning systems
• Strong understanding of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices
• Familiarity with project coordination, scheduling, and documentation is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project documentation tools
