Job Summary

Right Choice Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer to support construction projects from planning through completion. This role will assist with technical coordination, project documentation, scheduling, subcontractor communication, material tracking, and field operations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with daily construction and project coordination
• Review construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, and progress tracking
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Monitor material orders, deliveries, and equipment requirements
• Attend project meetings and document action items
• Conduct site visits and assist with field coordination
• Track project progress and identify potential delays or issues
• Assist with cost estimates, invoices, purchase orders, and cost tracking
• Coordinate inspections, permits, and required documentation
• Help ensure construction work meets plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Maintain organized project files, reports, and records
• Assist with resolving technical and field-related issues
• Support project closeout and final documentation
• Follow company, OSHA, and job-site safety procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Previous construction, engineering, or project coordination experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project documentation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
• AutoCAD, Procore, or similar software experience is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
• Ability to work both in an office and on active construction sites
