About the role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Rawang, Selangor. This role is central to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects across our manufacturing and technology operations. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing technical resources, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and acting as the primary technical liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and clients. Your work will directly support our commitment to operational excellence and continuous innovation.

Key responsibilities

1. Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and client requirements

2. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, and monitor progress against these baselines

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, procurement, and R&D to ensure seamless project execution

4. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, test plans, and progress reports

5. Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns

6. Conduct regular site visits and production line assessments to monitor project status and resolve technical issues as they arise

7. Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and customers to ensure clear communication and alignment on project deliverables

8. Manage change requests and scope variations, evaluating their impact on schedule, cost, and quality

9. Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality requirements

10. Track and report project performance metrics to senior management, providing transparent updates on milestones, challenges, and outcomes

11. Lead project review meetings and post-implementation evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement

12. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment

13. Languages: Mandarin, English. We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers/Supplier.

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar project management role, ideally within an electronics manufacturing or technology environment

2. Strong technical background in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronic, or related discipline) with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget targets

4. Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent)

5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to resolving technical and operational challenges

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across all levels of the organisation and with external partners

7. High level of organisation and attention to detail, with a commitment to accurate reporting and documentation

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP or PLM systems (preferred)

9. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (required); PMP or equivalent certification (preferred)

10. Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality standards and exposure to audit processes (preferred)
