Project Engineer

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer with either a subsea/marine/mechanical engineering background with experience in the marine and diving industries.

Jetwave Marine is a West Australian based company offering the very best in specialised vessels and marine based services throughout Australia. With an expanding fleet of specialised vessels, extensive range of subsea/diving equipment, and strategically located regional supply bases, we can support marine operations across Australia. Current projects see us operating in and around Fremantle and the North West of Australia.

This role is primarily based in Jetwave Marine’s Head Office Fremantle with occasional site visits.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Working with the Subsea and Projects team to execute marine, ROV, diving and inshore construction works.
• Managing small marine projects from initial planning through to delivery, commissioning and close-out.
• Assist in the delivery of larger projects.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders in the office, onsite and offshore
• Monitoring project milestones, deliverables, costs and timelines
• Coordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, suppliers and site activities
• Preparing project documentation and task plans for execution of works
• Preparing inspection and close-out reports for clients
• Conduct site visits for projects where necessary
• Preparing lift plans

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Subsea, Marine or a related discipline)
• Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator or similar role (3 to 10 years)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
• Experience with AutoCad or similar drafting/drawing programs
• Experience with working in marine environments (3 to 10 years)
• Experience or a keen interest in working with vessels and divers
• Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
