A leading national Tier 2 head contractor has secured a brand-new Sydney project and is looking for a strong Project Engineer to join the team from the early design stages.

This is a great opportunity for an Engineer who wants to get onto a project at the beginning and see it right through to completion — rather than joining halfway through and inheriting someone else's problems.

The Role As Project Engineer, you'll take ownership of key packages and work closely with the wider delivery team across:

• Design coordination and consultant management
• Procurement and subcontractor packages
• RFIs, ITPs, QA and technical documentation
• Programming and coordination of works
• Cost tracking and variations
• Subcontractor and stakeholder management
• Site delivery, commissioning and handover

About You We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer with an Australian head contractor
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and project delivery
• Experience across commercial, industrial, education, health or similar construction projects
• Good communication skills and confidence managing subcontractors and consultants
• Construction-related degree or relevant qualification
• Ambition to take on more responsibility and continue progressing
