About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our organisation, where you will play a vital role in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects. The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating project activities, liaising between technical teams and stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting the strategic objectives of IPE Engineering Pte Ltd.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee project activities from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with project schedules and milestones
• Liaise between engineering teams, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain clear communication and manage expectations
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, progress updates, and as-built records
• Monitor project progress and identify risks or deviations from the plan, implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and resource planning
• Support site inspections and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Contribute to project problem-solving and provide technical support to resolve design and construction challenges
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including timesheets, material usage, and site observations
• Support the project manager and senior engineering staff with administrative and technical tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in project engineering or a similar role within the construction sector
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Proficiency with project management software, Autocad, BIM and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional reports and presentations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to identify issues and propose practical solutions
• Familiarity with relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations is advantageous
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
