Project Engineer

About the role

The Project/Production Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring project activities, from conceptual design to production, to ensure products are launched successfully within agreed timeframes and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all activities related to assigned projects, from conceptual design, pilot run to mass production
• Plan the project schedule
• Convert client's conceptual design input to product specifications and technical drawings
• Define product's functional and quality requirements to ensure the product meets customer expectations and regulatory requirements
• Conduct risk assessment in product and process designs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
• Develop product acceptance requirements, production and inspection procedures
• Monitor the progress of tooling fabrication and fixture setup
• Approve first shot sample in pilot run and release of mass production
• Liaise with suppliers and factories to ensure the project schedule
• Investigate and solve technical problems resulting from production defects

About you

• 1-5 years of working experience in product development, project management or engineering related duties, preferably in dental care products/industry
• Higher Diploma/Certificate in any engineering discipline; Fresh graduate is welcome and may consider to be Project Engineering Assistant.
• Proficient knowledge in project management
• Proficient knowledge in technical drawing software (Solidworks; 3D print etc.)
• Written and spoken English and Chinese
• Communication skill - ability to communicate information in a clear and precise manner, and coordinate with different parties of different levels and backgrounds
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Manage and monitor the project schedule
• Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Project Manager
