Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd in a full-time capacity. Based in the Springleaf North Region, this role is central to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating between various stakeholders, and ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet our high standards of quality and safety. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on project outcomes whilst developing your expertise in project engineering management.

What you'll be doing

• Planning and scheduling project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery within budget constraints
• Coordinating between engineering teams, contractors, clients, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution
• Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks or delays, implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, drawings, and technical specifications
• Conducting site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements
• Supporting the project management team in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates
• Communicating project status updates to stakeholders and senior management on a regular basis
• Assisting in the resolution of technical issues and conflicts that may arise during project execution
• Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines throughout all project phases

What we're looking for

• A degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
• 2–4 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination, or a similar engineering role
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies
• Proficiency in using project management software and engineering design tools
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and regulatory requirements is advantageous
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is preferred
