Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer supports the Global High Tech business in Thailand by managing project timelines and budgets and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance criteria. The role serves as a primary day-to-day customer contact, develops process design and technical documentation, and works closely with sales representatives, project developers and field teams to deliver projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the timeline and budgetary cost set for the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance criteria
• Work with project developers and field organisation representatives to meet deadlines on all assigned work
• Track project progress, flag risks early and escalate issues that may affect delivery or cost
• Support smooth commissioning and handover of the project to the customer
• Serve as a primary, day-to-day customer point of contact, communicating directly with the applicable sales representatives
• Work as an extension of the customer's management team and provide contract compliance and fulfilment
• Maintain clear written and oral communication with customers and applicable company contacts
• Attend project review meetings with customers and internal teams
• Develop detailed process design and P&IDs based on customer requirements
• Provide technical support during project tendering, including technical information and clarifications

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least one to two years of industry experience, for example water treatment, oil and gas, or pharmaceutical
• Proficient in AutoCAD software
• Strong project management skills, including coordination, documentation and planning
• Professional working proficiency in Thai and English
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Resourceful team player, able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
• Sound commercial judgement alongside technical capability
• Disciplined documentation and attention to specification detail
