Project Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in concrete, utilities, and sitework who's ready to take ownership of project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents in day-to-day project execution.

• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability.

• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on concrete, utility, and sitework scopes.

• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.

• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.

• Support quantity takeoffs and material procurement.

• Help resolve field issues related to underground utilities, grading, and concrete flatwork/structures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction.

• Strong working knowledge of concrete construction, underground utilities, and sitework.

• Experience reading and interpreting civil, structural, and utility plans.

• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites throughout the DFW Metroplex.
